 Best Christmas Ever     Michael was a little boy whose parents seemed to be always fighting. Nevertheless they were one of those special couples, who could always get back together after every tiff. Every time, there was a clash at home, little Michael would feel wretched. But today, on Christmas Eve, matters seemed a bit different to Michael.      In the morning, his parents had given him many gifts. They were wonderful gifts. His happiness had known no bounds. Michael knew that he had no reason to complain. But now, it was evening time. Michael could hear his parents’ voices get louder and louder. His old fears returned to haunt him. Soon, Michael heard the sound of his father’s footsteps on the staircase near his room. As soon as his father entered his room, he began to speak to him. “Michael, I am going away. I am not able to get along with your mother. I don’t plan to return home, ever again.”          Michael helped his father to pack his box of belongings. Then his father left

 பாரத ரத்னா திரு எம்.ஜி.ஆர்! ஆங்கிலத்தில் டாக்டர் பத்மப்ரியா, பி.எச்.டி, எழுத்தாளர், சிந்தனையாளர், சென்னை. தமிழாக்கம்: முனைவர், கவிஞர் என்.வி. சுப்பராமன், சென்னை. இந்தியத் திருநாட்டின் தமிழகத்தையே தனது ஆளுகையில் கொண்டுவந்தவர் எம்.ஜீ ஆர் என்று அனைவராலும் அறியப்பட்டவர் மருதூர் கோபால ராமச்சந்திரன் அவர்கள்.1977 – 1987 ஆண்டுகளில் தமிழக முதல்வராகப் பணியாற்றியவர். 1988 ஆம் ஆண்டில் அவருக்கு பாரத நாட்டின் மிக உயர்ந்த விருதான ‘பாரத ரத்னா’ அவரது இறப்பிற்குப் பின் வழங்கப்பட்டது. இவையெல்லாம் ஏதோ தற்செயலாக நடைபெற்றவை அல்ல. நீண்ட காலமாகத் திரையுலகில் சிறப்பு மிக்க பற்பல கதாபாத்திரங்களில்- விவசாயியாக, படைவீரனாக, குடும்பத் தலைவனாக, இரட்சகராக, மேலும் பலவாறாக மக்கள் மனத்தில் விலகாத, விலக்க முடியாத இடத்தைப் பெற்றிருப்பவர். அதிஉன்னதமான திறமை, கடின உழைப்பு இவற்றின் துணையோடு திரு எம் ஜீ ஆர் அவர்கள் தமிழ்த் திரைப்பட உலகிலும், தமிழக அரசியல் உலகிலும் தனி இடம் பெற்று, அதனைத் தக்க வைத்துக் கொண்டார். .தமிழ்த் திரையில் ஒப்பாரும் மிக்காரும் இல்லாத நடிகர் திரு சிவாஜி கணேசன், காதல் மன்னன் திரு ஜெமினி கணேசன் அவர் கால
