The Autobiography of a Neem Tree

The Autobiography of a Neem Tree  I am a Neem tree. My scientific name is Azadiracta indica. I was born in a dilapidated compound in the Egmore area of Madras in 1985. I am an Indian. We don't survive in cold climates. The hot and humid Indian climate is our favourite climate. This is our home.    The beauty of India is a sensory delight to us. We love the myriad colours of India. The fragrant rosewood and sandalwood trees are my close friends.   We love to contribute to everyone's health. We have been used by generations of Indians to kill bacteria and fungi. Farmers love us! Our leaves are the most potent insecticides and fungicides. The bark of Neem is used in a wide variety of medicinal preparations. Our flowers are used in Indian cooking. Our wood can be used as firewood, too.    We are very useful. My whole community serves the variegated interests of mankind. Yet, human beings scarcely recognise our need for water. It is summer time and we feel thirsty (just like you!)

Interesting link between Poetry and BTS

Interesting link between Poetry and BTS music band It is interesting to note the link between poetry and BTS, the biggest music band in history. Kim Nam-joon also known as RM is the leader of BTS.  The leader of BTS K- Pop, RM has the following history. 'As a student, he actively wrote poetry and often received awards for his writings. He posted his work to an online poetry website for roughly one year, where he received moderate attention. Through this, RM grew interested in pursuing a literary career but decided against it. At the age of 11, RM became interested in  hip-hop  music after hearing  Epik High 's "Fly" in fifth grade.'(Source:Wikipedia)

The General(Poem)

The General The brave General, Marched on and on! Seeing the formidable enemy, His army became forlorn. Turning their back on the General, They disappeared on that morn. The brave General, Marched on and on. He turned and to his profound shock, Found that his men were gone! The brave General marched on and on, Seeing the General with his serene visage, The enemy weakened with the fear, That they would be mercilessly torn. Expecting to see a great army in a while, The enemies decided to leave and be gone. The brave General vanquished the fleeing men with ease, Marched on and on. Back home to a hero's welcome, He thanked his soldiers in front of all, His men shed tears, Someone in the crowd said, "What brave men we have!" "Yes," replied the brave General, "Without them,  Would I have been able to march on?" S.Padmapriya
