Poem - In Sync

 A Poem

In Sync

You speak the truth?

They will call you ‘crazy’,

If you are selfless,

Labelled as ‘a fool’ easily,

If you are harsh and not nice,

‘Well, that’s o.k.’

‘You are in sync with the times!’

Kind and compassionate?

‘Here’s a nobody!’

Loving or being too devoted,

‘Is indeed a sign of abnormality!’

Sincerity?

‘How derisory!’

Enjoy too much?

They say, ‘He does little work!’

If you work and work,

They say, ‘doesn’t know to enjoy life’s worth!’

A smiling face,

‘A sign of absurdity!’

If you trust willingly,

‘Hey, silly!’

If you don’t trust,

‘Very suspicious and unworthy!’

If one is simple and humble,

‘You are such a trouble!’

In trying to please the world,

We lose ourselves,

It is time to shut all nonsense,

And discover inner resilience,

Finally, being able to face reality.
