Prosody Byte - 1 #Blank Verse: Blank verse is poetry written in regular, metrical but unrhymed lines, almost always composed of iambic pentameter. It has a conventional meter that is used for verse drama and long narrative poems. It is often used in descriptive and reflective poems and dramatic monologues. In other words, Education is the process of developing knowledge, skills and character. In the words of Swami Vivekananda: According to the learned seer, Swami Vivekananda – ‘Education is not book learning’. According to him, ‘It is not even diverse knowledge.’ In the words of Swami Vivekananda - ‘The training by which the expression of will are brought under control and become fruitful is called Education.’ According to him – a. S.Padmapriya: Dr.S.Padmapriya began writing poems in English at the age of seven. Her first published poem was ‘The Peepal Tree'. Dr.S.Padmapriya has authored four collections of poetry. They are: ‘Great Heights’, ‘The Glittering Galaxy’ and ‘Galaxy’. Her poems have been published in journals and newspapers such as ‘The Statetimes’(J&K, India), ‘The Teenager’(Mumbai, India), ‘Bridge-in-Making’( West Bengal, India), ‘Moonlight of Corea’( South Korea), ‘Phoenix New Life Poetry’( UK), ‘Young Poet’(Chennai, India), ‘Poet’(Chennai, India), ‘Poetcrit’(Himachal Pradesh, India), ‘Writers Editors Critics’ journal( Kerala, India) etc. Her short stories and articles have appeared in journals like ‘Contemporary Vibes’ (Punjab, India), Bridge-in-Making (West Bengal, India), ‘Writers Editors Critics’ (Kerala, India) and ‘Elegance’ (Mumbai, India).
