Poem on The Mongoose

Mongoose


Celebrated in ancient Mesopotamia,
Even in old Babylonia,
A symbol in the picture of Dzambala,
Held in the hand by Lord Kubera,
Presented as heroes in prefecture Okhinawa!

Small and powerful,
Energetic and resourceful,
Native of Eurasia and Africa,
Found quite a bit in India!

Brave and agile,
Sensitive and docile,
Whatever be the stakes,
It will fight with venomous snakes!

To save from dreaded kraits,
Every Home and Country,
Needs a good 'Rikki-Tikki-Tavi',
The one with unique traits!

Now, don't fume and fret,
Think about what has been written,
Get your mind clearly set,
When you want a new pet!

  நிகரற்ற நடிகர் சிவாஜி கணேசன்!           ஆங்கிலத்தில்:முனைவர்.எஸ்.பத்மப்ரியா, எழுத்தாளர், சிந்தனையாளர், சென்னை தமிழாக்கம்: முனைவர் என் வி சுப்பராமன், சென்னை  ‘செவாலியர்; ‘சிவாஜி; கணேசன் ஓர் உயர் இரகத்தைச் சார்ந்தவர். ஒரு நாடக மேடையில் இந்தியாவின் மாபெரும் , மராட்டிய மாமன்னன் சிவாஜி வேடத்தில் நடித்ததினால் ‘சிவாஜி; கணேசன் என்ற பெயர் பெற்றார். நாடக மேடையில் நடிகராக வேண்டும் என்று வீட்டை விட்டுப் புறப்பட்ட ஒருவருக்கு திரை உலகப் பயணம் மிகவும் நீண்டதாகவும்,, புகழ் வாய்ந்ததாகவும் அமைந்தது. பாதையில் பல இன்னல்களைச் சமாளித்தவர். தமிழ்த் திரை உலகில் பிரம்மாண்டமான வெற்றியை அடைந்தவர். தமிழக அரசியலிலும் தாக்கத்தை ஏற்படுத்தியவர். தமிழக முதல்வராக இருந்து , இலவசக் கல்வி வழங்கிய, மிக உயர்ந்த தமிழக அரசியல் தலைவர் திரு காமராசருடன் இணைந்து இருந்தவர். அரசியல் ரீதியில், காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியுடன் இணைந்து இருந்தவர். திராவிட முன்னேற்றக் கழகத்துடனோ, அகில இந்திய அண்ணா திராவிட  முன்னேற்றக் கழகத்திலிருந்தோ விலகி நின்றவர்.   தமிழக தஞ்சாவூர் அருகேயுள்ள ஒரத்தநாடு சூரக்கோட்டையில் வி. சின்னையா மந்திரையர் என்ற பெயரில் பிறந்த

 The Breaking of the Bastille Long ago, The Bastille was broken; Out emerged warriors of freedom, Chanting, ‘liberty, equality, fraternity’. Years later, Terror has struck human hearts! Humans live half-dead, And sleep half- alive; Fear is rampant here and there, Fear must be trampled, everywhere. Let us strive to reach heights, phenomenal, Making lives, sensational, Dreams come true, It takes dreams to make the truth happen. God, grant us fairy wings, A nectar- soaked soul to break unholy rings, Let us harness our creative sensibilities, Bring to suppressed people - an opportunity, To live with dignity. Happy must be young minds, Eternal joy is what it must find. Happiness is full of sensibility, Sorrow must become impossibility. We will reach our destination, A destination Worthy of inspiration!
